Darrell and his wife, Debbie, live in Boiling Springs SC.
Darrell joined the fire service in 1980 as a volunteer firefighter in York County, SC.
Over the years, he has served as SCFA Adjunct instructor and SCFA Regional Supervisor, helping to provide training to the emergency responders of South Carolina.
He has obtained IFSAC certification as a Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Fire Officer I, Fire Officer II, and Fire Instructor I.
During his 40+ year fire service career, Darrell has been a member of the SC Society of Fire Service Instructors for 30+ years and recognized with the SCSCFI Instructor of the Year Award.
Darrell became an agent with Correll Insurance Group in October 1997. Specializing in emergency service organizations, he has worked with departments across the state of SC with VFIS services. He has served on the national level as Chairman of Client Education Advisory Committee to develop the VFIS training program.
Spending time with Debbie and their dog, Gabby, enjoying mountain cabin life is a priority. Spending as much time as possible with their grandchildren is also a high priority.
